Elaboration of Learning Problem-Tasks from the Field of Chemistry

This thesis deals with the elaboration of learning problem-tasks related to the Standards for elementary education in the field of Chemistry. The author of this thesis worked on this topic within a project under National Institute for Education. The starting point for creating the tasks, illustrating and concretely expounding the Standards is the concept of science literacy. In this principle in chemistry instruction a broader context and a transfer to everyday life are applied. Learning tasks were created on the base of: science literacy and the results of Czech pupils in its testing, context of standards in Czech curricular system, elements of problem-based learning, types of learning tasks and cognitive parameters. During the elaboration of the tasks a pilot testing of selected learning tasks was realized. The results of the pilot testing were used in further designing more problem-tasks to cover one expected outcome in every topic of Chemistry within the elementary school curriculum. According to the methodology described in this thesis, a material named Methodical comments and tasks to the standards for primary education - Chemistry was created. This material contains a coherent set of learning problem-tasks illustrating two- thirds of the indicators from the standards for elementary education...

This Master's thesis discusses the Problem - based learning as one of the constructive teaching concept methods, it's position in the system of teaching methods and the possible uses in primary school regard to the key competencies of solving the problems. This theme is very actual because of the influence in the real life. The objectives of the Master's thesis is to define the basic concept of the Problem-based learning (problem, problematic situations, types of the problematic tasks and the way of their solving), key competencies and appropriate organizational forms of the teaching. The objective of the practical level is to define the principles of the effective use of this method in teaching, to verify the possibilities of uses of the Problem-based learning and focus on the way of fulfilling of the key competencies of solving the problems using various organizational forms of teaching. The thesis contains the empirical and theoretical part. The empirical part comes from the analysis and the comparation of the study of the vocational literature. Problem solving method in mathematics teaching

This master's thesis deals with unusual applications tasks and problem tasks in teaching mathematics at the upper primary school as well as with their solving strategies. The whole work is build around an analysis of pupils' solutions of selected problem tasks. It was found that solving the tasks caused considerable troubles to a significant part of the pupils. The final part of the thesis contains a collection of problem tasks along with their solutions that is focused on teaching heuristic problem solving strategies and based on the analysis results.
Piloting of educational material (Educational project on sustainable transportation)

Annotation: Bachelor thesis Pilot testing of educational material, describes the process of creating educational activities targeted at sustainable transport, preparation of pilot testing and subsequent evaluation of the obtained knowledge and insight of the piloting process. The theoretical part presents examples of piloting process carried out in the Czech Republic. Then the author presents a list of selected teaching methods that have been chosen to create the educational activities. And finally in the empirical section provides detailed procedures for verification and evaluation of findings learned within the creation and pilot evaluation of the educational activities. There is processed the topic of problem-based learning in the bachelor thesis. The instigation to work at this topic of bachelor thesis is based on the development of education system in the last years and the social requirements for graduates of secondary school. The theoretical part is focus on contemporary education, the study of curricula which reflects the development and direction of education in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part also characterizes the problem-based learning, from the wider concept of teaching methods, as well as in the detailed view of its individual components. The practical part of the thesis describes the conditions for application of this method in teaching, the criteria according to teacher can choose a problem-based learning and apply to lectures in a school, how attain of learning aims and for which difficulties the teacher should be prepared. Most attention is paid to the real draft of teaching method for applying to educational practice of secondary horticulture school.
The use of problem-based teaching in the subject of accounting in business academies

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of problem-based teaching in the subject of accounting which is taught in business academies. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the importance of accounting and with the particular position of object of accounting for business academies. The attention is paid to the educational objectives, its layout, the cross-curricular links and textbooks as the main teaching guide. Further the work is focused on the concept of teaching through problem solving when are given their characteristics, methods, organizational forms and principles for the creation of didactic material. In practice one at first is performed didactic analysis of the curriculum in the most widely used textbook in business academies. In conclusion, the thesis is a case study which was created by me.
Didactic analysis of curriculum of wages in the subject Accounting on Business Academies

The diploma thesis deals with didactic analysis of payroll in the second concentric circle in the subject accounting at Business Academies. The thesis is divided into three parts: theoretical, research and my own draft of curriculum. The theoretical part deals with the specifics of the subject accounting, educational programs, and especially the didactic aspects of teaching about wages. In the second part, using questionnaires, I find out what methodology is used in teaching about wages by teachers in Prague and Central Bohemian Region, if they use teaching through problem solving or whether they work with real forms. I also focused on the student's opinion about their teacher's methods, how they would improve the quality of teaching or what didactic methods they consider to be the most effective. The last part contains my own draft of curriculum on wages in the second concentric circle, which is accompanied by explanatory examples, illustrative diagrams, examples of forms and it is completed by a summary example with the elements of teaching through problem solving.
Didactic analysis of curriculum on wages in the subject Accounting at business schools

This thesis deals with the curriculum on wages, which is taught in the subject Accounting at business schools. The first part of the thesis contains a theoretical characteristics of the subject of accounting, its objectives and interdisciplinary relationships. In addition, I focus on the statutory regulation on wages, the inclusion of the topic in the teaching, the possibility of using teaching aids and tools, as well as on the characteristics of concepts used in this subject. The second part is applied to the processing of this topic from the perspective of a teacher. It is a suggestion of a procedure for the interpretation of this theme in lessons Accounting at business schools. The analysis involves the interpretation of both the first and also the second concentric circle. There is also included a specific suggestion of the application of problem classes in the teaching curriculum on wages. The last part is the evaluation of the survey, which focuses the use of the concept of problem teaching in the subject Accounting at business scools in the Czech Republic.
